YOU ARE HERE  ·  PRE-PRODUCTION

The Flow:
Your Personal Audio Journal

Before you touch a microphone or open BandLab, you write. This site is where your narrative begins. Here's the full picture of where you're headed.

1
RIGHT NOW
Pre-Production — Write Your Narrative
Complete all four movements on this site. Copy each one into your Google Doc. This is your script — your words, your story, your voice on record.
2
Beat Production — BandLab
After each movement is written, you'll go to Google Classroom and create a beat in BandLab that matches the mood of that movement. Four movements, four beats.
3
Audio Recording — Zoom H4
Mr. Britton will give you a printed copy of your narrative and walk you through using the Zoom H4 digital recorder. You'll record each movement out loud — your actual voice, on a real microphone.
4
Mix Down — BandLab
Import your recorded voice into your BandLab beat project. Your voice goes over the beat. You adjust levels, listen back, and export your finished track. Four times.
5
Album Cover — Canva
Design the cover for your audio journal in Canva. Instructions and a template link are in Google Classroom. This is where every Canva skill you've built this semester gets put to use.
The Listening Party
When everyone is done — we listen. As a class. Your finished audio journal, played out loud. Four movements. Your voice. Your story.

Obstacles

your narrative — movement 2

There were moments I almost gave up because
What people don't understand about my journey is
The weight of it felt like
What I needed most during that time was

Hope

your narrative — movement 3

The moment things started to shift was when
I hope that one day

In five years I see myself
The first person I want to tell when I make it is
I want the next person coming up behind me to know
